A Sea for Everyone,

Luedji Luna

"Um Mar Pra Cada Um" (A Sea for Each One) offers an immersion into global Black music. Jazz is a central element, with wind instruments inspired by John Coltrane 's 1965 classic, "A Love Supreme ." It's no surprise that the work begins with an instrumental track, "Genesis," featuring Bahian maestro Ubiratan Marques .

The album also includes vocals from singers Liniker and Tali, as well as international guest appearances, such as English saxophonist Nubya Garcia, Japanese trumpeter Takuya Kuroda and American guitarist Isaiah Shakerey. The work features tracks produced by Zudizilla, Curumin, Lucs Romero, Kato Change and Duda Raupp.

In addition to the grandiose instrumentations, which feature pianos, choirs and string arrangements, the album features the popular neo-soul groove, inspired by Erykah Badu , loaded with bass lines, beats and synthesizers. The artist celebrates Brazilian music with an interpolation of “Pérola Negra”, by Luiz Melodia, in “Joia” — a partnership with François Muleka.

In "Baby Te Amo," the voice of Sergipe poet Beatriz Nascimento , who died in 1995, is recreated by artificial intelligence to recite the poem of the same name. Karina Siervi 's sound healing frequencies also feature on the track, closing the album with atmospheric drums and flutes.
