Ramilonga

Vitor Ramil

In " Ramilonga ," Vitor Ramil explores the typical rhythms of Rio Grande do Sul music, especially milonga, using unconventional instruments like the Indian sitar and soft singing. Both in the lyrics and arrangements, the album incorporates elements of regional culture to create a global, borderless musicality.

Because of its conceptual depth and originality, the work is revered across generations. It is in this work that Vitor develops his concept of "cold aesthetics," in which he establishes formal and thematic criteria for an understanding of Brazilianness that originates from the South.

This launch is part of the Juntos Pela Música do RS campaign. A portion of the proceeds from subscriptions will go toward efforts to rebuild the Rio Grande do Sul music industry, as will 100% of the proceeds from individual sales, which will remain open throughout the month.
