Gil Baiana Live in Salvador

Bahia, the land of all saints, chooses Salvador to witness a meeting as uniquely Bahian as it is Brazilian. It was from this concert held in the city that this truly historic landmark in Brazilian music emerged: the union of Gil and Baiana. "Gil Baiana Ao Vivo em Salvador" was recorded in November 2019 and is a special album that documents a meeting of generations of Bahian and Brazilian music. The repertoire combines Gil's classics, such as "Extra" and "Emoriô," with BaianaSystem's "Água" and "Dia da Caça," and was selected based on the connections between their works.
