5 a Seco is made up of five artists with solo works and a wealth of ideas. Some of them fit the group. Others, not so much. To select what comes in and what goes out, the working dynamic of Leo Bianchini , Pedro Altério , Pedro Viáfora , Tó Brandileone , and Vinicius Calderoni is simple: each presents their compositions to the rest of the group and seeks to understand the reaction.

"When we come back, there's a very clear place for each of us compositionally. And the album highlights that—each of us's individualities. It's a celebration of these individualities that grew stronger during the break," Altério explains in an interview you can read in NOIZE magazine #162.
