Released online by surprise by the prestigious American website Consequence Of Sound, the album received rave reviews in several languages: for the Italian website Sentireascoltare, the album boasts a "high lysergic content with one eye focused on tradition and the other on the future"; while for the Portuguese website Comunidade Cultura e Arte, its "sound palette lends an elastic and robust synesthesia to music that is listened to in a light and practical way." Lá Vem a Morte reveals the more synthetic side of Boogarins' sound, which had never flirted so much with electronic experimentation, and became both a watershed moment in the band's trajectory and one of the most influential works in national independent music.
