Caminhos Selvagens

Catto

The artist's first album of new material in eight years features tracks with a noisy rock'n'roll sound, distorted guitars, drums, beats, pianos, and string arrangements. The production is by Catto, Fabio Pinczowski , and Jojô Inácio . On tour, she is accompanied by Julia Klüber (keyboards), Michelle Abu (drums), and Gabriel Mayall (bass). In this new work, Catto reconnects creatively while living her gender transition.

To build the universe of WILD PATHS , the artist cites influences such as Maysa, Marília Mendonça, and PJ Harvey. "The whole songwriting process was very painful. I didn't know how to sing, I didn't know how to play. In fact, I was being reborn there. I found myself relearning how to do everything I used to do," he told Noize. "The album is about the joy of being a transvestite! This is a 'Trans to Trans' work. Even though it's an album about love – which is a universal feeling – there are the details, the subtleties of our experiences . "
