Natural Things (2025)

Marina Sena

On her new album, the artist proposes dialogues between MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and Latin American music. Her alternative pop sound draws from samba, funk, rock, bachata, and reggae. With percussion, beats, guitars, violins, and synthesizers, Marina alludes to her influences – such as Gal Costa and Marku Ribas, who are featured on the album cover – creating an authentic and fresh sonic identity.

With musical production by Janluska , the work includes collaborations with André Oliva and Matheus Bragança , Marina's partners in A Outra Banda da Lua . There is also the participation of the Spanish and Colombian-Venezuelan band Çantamarta , in "Doçura", as well as the Italian-Brazilian singer Gaia and the Portuguese rapper Nenny , in "TOKITÔ".

In a viral debut, Coisas Naturais reached sixth place in the global Spotify Top 10, in addition to having three songs on the platform's list of the fifty most listened to. The single "Numa Ilha" was cited by music critic Jon Pareles of The New York Times as one of the recent highlights in music.
