Natural Things (2025)

Marina Sena

On her new album, the artist proposes a dialogue between MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and Latin American music. Her alternative pop sound draws from samba, funk, rock, bachata, and reggae. With percussion, beats, guitars, acoustic guitars, and synthesizers, Marina draws on her influences—such as Gal Costa and Marku Ribas, who appear on the album cover—creating an authentic and fresh sound.

With musical production by Janluska , the work includes collaborations with André Oliva and Matheus Bragança , Marina's partners in A Outra Banda da Lua . There is also the participation of the Spanish and Colombian-Venezuelan band Çantamarta , in "Doçura", as well as the Italian-Brazilian singer Gaia and the Portuguese rapper Nenny , in "TOKITÔ".

In a viral debut, Coisas Naturais reached sixth place on Spotify's global Top 10, in addition to placing three songs in the platform's top fifty most-streamed charts. The single "Numa Ilha" was cited by music critic Jon Pareles of The New York Times as one of the music's recent highlights.
