Hermeto (1970)
Hermeto Pascoal
Reserve a special space in your collection for the arrival of a masterpiece: Hermeto (1970), Hermeto Pascoal's first solo album, is our 55th release. Released for the first time in Brazil, the album is a landmark in jazz history and features contributions from giants such as Ron Carter, Googie Coppola, Airto Moreira, and Flora Purim (the latter two even serving as producers). This album features Hermeto's first ingenious arrangements with wind instruments and strings, as well as glimpses of his experimentalism, such as dialogue and the use of 36 bottles tuned with water.
