Milton (1970)

Milton Nascimento

Bituca's fourth album, "Milton" (1970), features songwriting partnerships that defined the artist's career: brothers Lô and Márcio Borges, Fernando Brant, Ronaldo Bastos, and Toninho Horta. On the recording, Milton is accompanied by the legendary band Som Imaginário, featuring Wagner Tiso, Zé Rodrix, Federa, Tavito, Luiz Alves, and Robertinho Silva. The album also features Naná Vasconcelos on percussion and a special appearance by Dori Caymmi. "Milton" (1970) marks a turning point in Bituca's career and, with the track "Clube da Esquina," foreshadows the eponymous movement that the artist would form two years later with his partners.
